To get the most accurate impression of a perfume, follow these steps when testing:

1. Start with a clean slate: Avoid wearing other fragrances or heavily scented products when testing perfumes to prevent mixing scents.
2. Use blotters or skin: Spray the fragrance on a blotter strip or card first to evaluate the top notes. Then, test on your skin, ideally on pulse points like wrists or inner elbows, as body heat helps release the scent.
3. Allow time: Perfumes evolve over time. Wait at least 30 minutes to an hour after applying to fully experience the heart and base notes. With natural fragrance we would recommend wearing one a day to see how it develops over the day.
4. Limit samples: Stick to testing 1-2 fragrances at a time to avoid overwhelming your sense of smell.
5. Test in different environments: Try the perfume in different settings—both indoors and outdoors—to see how it reacts to different conditions.
