Founded by Jesse and Rachel, husband and wife yoga teachers based in Canada, Kooshoo are makers of the world's first biodegradable hair ties made of GOTS certified organic cotton and natural rubber. With plastic-based hair ties that have been disposed of or lost taking 500+ years to break down, Kooshoo was created as an alternative to do better for the environment, preventing these non-biodegradable hair ties from ending up in our land and oceans.

Kooshoo's fairtrade certified manufacturing partner in India are a social enterprise whose primary mission is to empower women in their local community. Founded by nuns in 1994, the company pioneered the export of organic cotton from India and continues to serve many of the worlds’ best known organic brands.
